About The Health And Wellness Tour
The inaugural Health, Wellness & Opportunities Event, which took place on September 21, 2024, in Capitol Heights under the leadership of District Heights commissioner and local advocate Anthony Tilghman, has now transitioned to a mobile initiative starting this November and recurring every quarter. Our primary goal is to provide health screenings, resources, and support to 1,000 residents in diverse communities, acknowledging the significance of addressing individuals’ needs directly.
“I seek to alter the perception that seeking assistance is solely necessary during times of adversity,” stated Tilghman. “Our aim is to ensure that each participant leaves equipped with valuable resources, meeting them where they are and guiding them towards a healthier lifestyle.”
